The original section of Templeton Physical Education Center was built in 1974. It was named after Ross E. Templeton of Clinton, PC alumnus and local business leader. The arena seats 2,500 people for basketball and volleyball games. There are six all-weather tennis courts adjacent outside.
In 1994, Mabry-Smith-Yonce was built as an addition to Templeton. It was partially funded by and named for, Billy Yonce, Frank Smith, and Hazel Mabry. MSY features a 6,000 square foot meeting room, several classrooms, a kitchen, restrooms, and a storage area.
Kemper Lake Sports Medicine Complex was added in 1995 at the cost of $1.5 million. This complex extended Templeton P.E. Center with 10 coaching offices, 5 women’s teams’ dressing rooms, and 4 men’s teams’ dressing rooms. Also included was a team meeting room. The sports medicine complex was named for PC alum and contributor Kemper Lake of Whitmire, S.C.
