PASCAL Delivers

What is PASCAL?

  • PASCAL, which is an acronym for Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries, is a statewide consortium of academic libraries in South Carolina
  • PASCAL delivers books within 2-4 business days
  • You will be notified via email when the book arrives, and it can be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
  • Overdue notices are sent to your email account.  The replacement cost for a book is $100.

Loan Period

  • The loan period is twelve weeks with no renewal allowed.  PASCAL items should be returned to the PC Library Circulation Desk.
  • Borrowers may have up to 25 requests at one time, including borrowed books already received and any books in transit from a lending institution.
  • PASCAL Delivers uses a courier service, and books normally arrive in 2-4 business days.  Borrowers will be notified by email when the book(s) arrive.  Items may be picked up at the PC Library Circulation Desk.
  • Renewals can be requested online by signing into your Library Account.  Click on the My Library Account link in the upper right of the library website.
  • You will be charged a $100.00 replacement fee for any lost items.

Visiting Patron Service

You can also visit another PASCAL Delivers library in-person and check out up to 4 books using the Visiting Patron service.  You will need to present a picture ID in order to borrow items as a Visiting Patron.

Funding Sources

PASCAL is funded through a combination of state funds, member library dues, and federal grants.

How to Request a PASCAL Book in OneSearch

  • You MUST be signed-in [use your Brightspace username and password] to request PASCAL items in OneSearch.
  • Search in the PASCAL catalog to find a book
