ENGL 2102: Research Methods

A catalog of books and materials at libraries worldwide.  Try searching here to find ALL books available on a topic.  Materials available at Thomason Library will have Presbyterian College listed in locations and others can be searched in PASCAL or borrowed through Interlibrary Loan.

• Do a Keyword Search using:
  • the name of the author
  • the name of the work
  • the name of a character(s) on whom you'd like to focus combined with either the author's name or the name of the work
• Do a Subject Search using:
  • the name of the author in the following format: last name, first name
    • There is usually a subject heading using the author's name in combination with the phrase "criticism and interpretation.
      • For example:  Rhys, Jean -- Criticism and interpretation
    • There is often a subject heading using the author's name in combination with the title of a work.
      • For example:  Rhys, Jean -- Wide Sargasso Sea
  • the name of the work
