Zotero

• Go to the Zotero Download Page.
• Select Zotero 4.0 for Firefox link.

• When you see the message "Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer," select Allow.

• Select Install Now to download and install Zotero.
• Next, you'll want to install a Word Processing Plugin, which will allow you to insert bibliographies and citations directly into your Word or LibreOffice document.
• Go to the Zotero Word Processing Plugin page.
• Select the appropriate link. **Be sure to install the correct version for your purposes.  If installing for use with Word, you'll need to choose the appropriate version; Windows or Mac.  The LibreOffice plugin works on both types of computers.

• When you see the pop-up message, "Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer", select Allow.
• Select Install Now to download and install the plugin.
• You will need to restart Firefox once this process is complete.

• Go to the Zotero Download Page.
• Select Zotero 4.0 for Windows, Mac, or Linux. [The site should recognize your operating system and the browser you are using and prompt you accordingly]

• Notice that plugins for Word and LibreOffice are included in this download and do not need to be downloaded separately.
• Next, you'll want to install any applicable Zotero Connectors, which allow your web browser to save citations to your Zotero Library.
• You'll find links for these at the bottom of the Zotero Download Page.

• Open the download and select Install

**Each browser has its own connector, so if you use both Chrome and Safari, you'll need to install both.
**Firefox does not require a connector.
